Converter Steelmaking

CISDI started its R&D of converter steelmaking process technology as early as in the mid-1960s, and independently designed China’s first 120t BOF shop in Panzhihua where it succeeded in startup in 1971. To date, CISDI has developed its own CISDI-SACS converter IPR and applied it to the market.

As of today, CISDI has designed or delivered (on EPC basis) 50 or more converters both domestic and overseas, with capacity up to 300t. Abundant experience were obtained and unique know-hows in converter steelmaking were developed.

EAF Steelmaking

CISDI has gained experience and competence in EAF steelmaking since 1950s. The reference list includes engineering or EPC for more then 20DC/AC EAF steelmaking plants in China. All EAFs designed or contrated by CISDI take leading positions in China with respect to main operation data and consumption figures such as tap-to-tap cycle, power and electrode consumption, etc.

Continuous Casting

CISDI started R&D of continuous casting technology in the 1950s. With decades of development, CISDI accumulated great experience and forms its own design capabilities on continuous casting engineering. CISDI experiences various caster types to cast various cross sections and steel grades, and expands its continuous casting business from simple engineering to complete engineering service based on turnkey contract. Various casters designed, supplied and contracted by CISDIcan be found all over China and abroad.
